Want to focus on your wildlife photography? There’s nothing better than spending time in the Serengeti with like-minded photographers, surrounded by unique wildlife. If this speaks to you, you should join our professional wildlife photographer, Karolina, on a Serengeti wildlife photo workshop in November or February. With its wildebeest herds, pride of lions, several spotted cats, and zebra stripes, the Serengeti offers countless opportunities for a photo safari adventure.

There will be morning and afternoon game drives on your private safari. As the cats pursue the migration, leaving at sunrise will give you the best chance of seeing a live hunt. If you get close enough, you can hear lions roaring as they chase after scavengers after a kill or hear jaws crunching into the carcasses.

Sightseeing in the Serengeti is simple. Animals move with the rains and gather in different places depending on the season, even though the national park is larger than the state of New Jersey. With nearly two million animals constantly on the move, Serengeti is a paradise for well-known wildebeest migration viewing. Predators do not migrate with the herds, aside from hyenas and vultures. Instead, they wait for the migration to pass through their region so they can gain weight by feasting on the plentiful prey. Wildebeest and zebra make up the initial view, but after moving your gaze a short distance, you will see lion pride, leopards, cheetahs, and other wild cats.

This unique experience will take you and a small group of like-minded photographers through the wilderness areas of Serengeti, where they were able to track African Bigcats, Ngorongoro Crater for the iconic Big Five animals and Lake Manyara for intimate encounters with trees-climbing lions. As you drive through the ancient walls of Ngorongoro Crater, you will stop at an authentic Maasai village,  where you will briefly engage with the legendary local Maasai and learn about their authentic nomadic lifestyle. The co-existence of wildlife and culture makes a trip to the Ngorongoro conservation area unique.

Ready to capture priceless moments of extraordinary wildlife on a photo safari in Serengeti? Join Karolina’s upcoming photo workshops in November and February and enjoy a front-row seat to photograph animal action as they unfold right in from of you.

Originally from Sweden, Karolina Norée is a professional wildlife photographer who fell in love with the African wilderness. Following her dreams, Karolina is now living in South Africa, where she can spend quality time in the bush, photographing extraordinary wildlife at Kruger National Park.
